Mastering the Basic Skills

Do you have a child who is struggling with reading and writing? Printing is difficult and hard to read? Mastery Is the Key is a website you may find very helpful.

The woman who created this program spoke at our homeschool group last year, and she explained some very interesting exercises to help children to read and print, using both sides of the brain.

You may want to investigate, especially the workbooks available on motif writing, traceable alphabet and the book Reading Is Not Enough. There is also curriculum on teaching children to write stories (including using stylistic techniques) as well as stories to read, along with comprehension questions. There is also a book on math computation mastery.

I believe this author's daughter lives in our city and is available for home conferences. You can probably contact her through the website.
