Storyline Online

Are you looking for ways to productively occupy your children while you need to get a few things done? Check out the site Storyline Online

Members of the Screen Actor's Guild read popular children's stories. Your children will be listening to stories read by professional actors, as if they were sitting in your living room. It looks wonderful, and it's FREE!

The featured story when I checked was The Polar Express read by Lou Diamond Phillips.

This is a simple way to practice your children's listening and viewing skills. After viewing, ask your child to tell back what they remember. What was their favourite part? What happened in the beginning? Middle? End? Maybe they would like to respond by drawing a picture about the story with a caption.
