Literature Suggestions

I subscribe to the Literary Education Update, a free newsletter from Adam Andrews, who has spoken at several homeschool conventions over the last few years, and is a wonderful, inspiring, and thought-provoking speaker.

In the latest issue, his wife Missy has written several book reviews that are well worth reading, if you are looking for some quality fiction literature for your Gr. 5+ reader.

Check them out here

Check out the website www.centerforlit.com "Training parents to teach the classics - from Seuss to Socrates" You will find teaching tips and curriculum to help you teach your child to analyse literature using the Socratic method (asking lots of questions!). Well worth the look.
