Meeting Those PE Outcomes

PE is more than daily exercise. In order to help you, I've compiled a few resources that will help you meet the the outcomes related to nutrition and the why's and how's of exercise.

You can order free information booklets from this Health Canada website; it's definitely worth looking through.

Variety is the spice of life. Be sure to include strength, flexibility, and endurance activities in your homeschool program. Why not borrow an exercise video for kids from the library?

Investing in a good health book is also helpful. A Beka Books have wonderful health texts (located under Science in their scope and sequence) - colorful and informative. Another one I recommend is Total Health by Susan Boe. This one spans grades 5-12 and covers numerous topics that would meet PE and Personal Planning outcomes. Or watch videos on health and nutrition from United Streaming (your free resource from HCOS).
